Anchor Text Example

Consider the following statement for text anchor example :-

" This blog is based on search engine optimization "

The sentence has 8 words. All the words are normal except the word “optimization” which looks a little bit different. When you move your mouse over the word “optimization”, you get an option to click the text. Here, the word “optimization” is called as the anchor text. A hyperlink (or in simple words “website domain”) is placed behind the text anchor “optimization” which is clickable but invisible to the users.

So in the above example if someone clicks the word “optimization”, it takes the viewer to the page “http://getvisitors4free.blogspot.com/2011/02/seo-terms.html ”
